Situated on beautiful Port Vincent's Main Street, you will find Port Vincent Motel & Apartments to be ideally located to the town's facilities, not to mention the calm, beckoning waters of Gulf St Vincent are only 150m away. All our rooms are well appointed and have everything you will need for a memorable stay. We invite guests to enjoy free limited WiFi, make the most of the complimentary BBQ facilities, fish cleaning area and crab cooker. We welcome families and kids can enjoy the playground and sheltered lawn and paved area at the rear of the property. Adults can sit back and enjoy a quiet drink and nibble at the outdoor settings.
As managers, we live on site and are always available for guest's needs or in case of any emergencies. In your room you will find information on what is available locally - things to do and places to see. Feel free to ask our recommendations - as locals we know all the secrets! Our ultimate goal is to ensure our guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay in our beautiful part of the world.

Port Vincent's family friendly beaches are an ideal launching pad for the many water activities the town offers, including beach fishing, swimming, kayaking and sailing. Keen anglers will know Port Vincent is famous for highly sought after delicacies like King George whiting and blue swimmer crabs.

Attractions
Dhilba-Guuranda Innes National Park
You won't be disappointed with a day trip to Dhilba-Guuranda Innes National Park. Approximately 90 minutes drive from Port Vincent, to the "toe" of the Peninsula, the park abounds with wildlife, spectacular beaches and unforgettable scenery. You can even take a self guided tour through the Inneston ghost town. Pop into the Marion Bay Tavern for refreshments or a wood-fired pizza on your way home.
Watsacowie Brewery
Located in Minlaton, only a 20 minute drive from Port Vincent, Watsacowie is a boutique brewery offering quality beers and ciders. Popular with locals and visitors, the brewery often has live music and is known for friendly atmosphere.

Barley Stacks Winery
Barley Stacks Winery was the first commercial vineyard and winery to be established in the traditional barley belt of Yorke Peninsula.
A short drive away from Maitland, Barley Stacks wines are grown and produced on site. The vineyard has a strong focus on environmental sustainability and ensuring leading edge technology is utilized to maintain consistently high quality wines. Be sure to drop in and try some of their produce.
Blue swimmer crabs
Blue swimmer crabs abound in the shallow water around Port Vincent. Only found at certain times of the year, they can be caught in crab nets from a boat or the wharf. If you're really keen, raking at low tide along either the front or back beach is almost guaranteed to get you a feed.
Port Vincent Motel and Apartments offers free use of crab nets and rakes for guests. If you are successful, we even supply a crab cooker!
Local wildlife
A wide variety of birds, mammals, fish and birds are found in our local area. Kangaroos and emus can be found all over and are abundant in Dhilba-Guuranda innes National Park. You can often spot seals and dolphins frolicking off our beaches and nearby Edithburgh is the well known home of the unique Leafy Sea Dragon.
Fishing
Whether you fish from the shore, the wharf or a boat, there is great fishing to be found in Port Vincent. King George whiting, Australian herring, calamari and garfish are some of the varieties regularly caught. If heading out in a boat, the Marina boat ramp allows for easy launching to offshore grounds.

Ventnor Hotel
Only two minutes walk from The Port Vincent Motel & Apartments, this friendly venue is a great place to enjoy a drink, meal or both. With TAB and gaming facilities, the pub also has spectacular views over the bay.
Foreshore fun
Our beautiful stretch of bay is generally clam and welcoming. There's plenty of water activities to enjoy; swimming, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, skiing, paddle-boarding, just to name a few.
SYP water tower mural trail / Troubridge scenic drive
If one colourful water tower isn't enough, why not head out and look at all five? You will find them at Port Vincent, Stansbury, Coobowie, Edithburgh and Yorketown. While in Edithburgh, check out the Wattle Point Wind Farm and the Troubridgescenic drive - there are plenty of photo opportunities along this scenic coast. Both the Troubridge island and Troubridge Point Lighthouses are visible along this drive.
Chill Out cafe
For that early morning kick starter, or great coffee (or milkshake) at any time of day, head to the Chill out Cafe. It's only a short walk from Port Vincent Motel and Apartments and the home of great breakfast and lunch options
Walk the Yorke
"Walk the Yorke" is made up of more than 500 kilometres of continuous shared walking and cycling trails. It is possible to explore YP's coastline from Port Wakefield and all the way around to Moonta Bay.
Shorter walks are available, including through Port Vincent, and the trail is well sign-posted. Strolling the coastal trails is a great way to take in the spectacular views and diverse coastal communities.
Alan Powell Walking Trail
The Alan Powell Walking Trail is one of Port Vincent's hidden secrets. Starting at the northern end of town and running along a gully, it's the perfect spot to stretch your legs and enjoy the local scenery.
Easiest access is from the town centre, along the boardwalk towards the Marina. There are various paths available and Alan Powell trail can be done alone or incorporated as part of the Walk the Yorke trail.
Harry Butler Memorial
Southern Yorke Peninsula's favourite son and one of the great pioneers of early Australian aviation, Harry Butler is remembered with a fascinating memorial in Minlaton, only 20 minutes drive from Port Vincent.
"The Red Devil", Harry's red monoplane is on static display in a purpose built hangar and you can also take a photo with the nearby bronze statue of Harry and read all about this local legend.
Port Vincent Kiosk
Located on the foreshore (and sometimes on the water!) The Port Vincent Kiosk is the ideal place to enjoy a tasty meal, snack or coffee, while taking in fantastic water views. Having long been an iconic location in Port Vincent and just a short stroll from our Motel, the Kiosk has earned a reputation of serving up top quality eat-in and take-away food.
